GRAPHIC DESIGNER and WEBMASTER

Responsibilities include:

  • Graphic design of all printed materials, including: season brochures, program books, direct mail pieces, all print advertising, concert venue POS materials.

  • Graphic design of all CD packaging, including booklet, disc, tray cards, etc. and associated marketing materials.

  • Graphic design and updates for Apollo's Fire website and email blasts, including basic audio editing.

  • Trafficking all materials between staff and printer/mail house.

Skills:

  • Background in classical music, with experience in CD design and layout for classical releases.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Software requirements: facility with Quark Xpress or Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Dreamweaver (or equivalent), CSS and HTML coding, Flash and Soundbooth or equivalent (and/or better) sound editing/conversion.

Front of House Associate (Contracted Vendor)

Description: Assist with Front of House duties including, but not limited to, customer service, coordinating volunteer ushers, processing ticket and merchandise sales, and set-up/tear down of special events.

Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to take direction, organized, basic math.

Hours are flexible and work days are sporadic based upon the concert schedule and production needs. You may choose to assist only with concerts that fit best into your schedule. Compensation is based upon an hourly rate.

Production COORDINATOR

The Production Coordinator plays a vital role in the concert, touring and recording activities of the ensemble. The PC works under the supervision of the Production Manager, but is expected to handle some rehearsals and recording sessions independently, attending to the needs of the performers. Responsibilities include riser and stage set-up, travelling with the ensemble on tours, participating in production meetings, transporting keyboard instruments (harpsichord and chamber organ, not piano), assisting with recruitment of stage hands, and attending rehearsals, concerts, and recording sessions.

The Production Coordinator may be invited to take on additional responsibilities after gaining experience. Presently this is a part-time position, with opportunity for expansion and/or advancement within the organization within the next 1-2 years.
